Playing Online

I hated losing access to my online poker sites since black Friday and the sudden shut down of my online sites made me really pissed off. What gives the government the right to take away my right to chose? If i want to play poker or gamble on line or in a casino that is my right. Big brother went ahead and cut us off at the kness becasue they want to control the average person form becoming a gambling addict?....PLEASE. it's becasue they do not have control of it. It won't be long until they have their own poker or casino web site up and running themselves.

I hated not being able to jump out of bed in my PJ's and log on to 15 tables at once not having to wait in line for a seat to open and having numerous tournaments starting every second for me to choose from. Getting to play the game i love in the comfort of my own home at the pace and level i want to is awesome.

Now Poker Stars allows you to re-download the software and the program will run the same without a problem. I'm happy i can log back on and play again , i'm also happy i didn't lose any of my cash as well. I still can't seem to log onto Fulltilt or PKR but i am sure it won't be long.

it wasn't all that bad though, the poker rooms in the cxasinos were full , the underground card rooms like mine here in Toronto ( the Royal Poker room and the Toronto Poker Tour TPT) were full all the time. they still seem to be full but the beauty of playing in a bricks and mortar game will never be dwarfted by online play becasue there is something to be said about being able to sit across from your appoinents, look them in the eyes, shuffle your chips, play witht he cards give off false tells and all the the other things that come with playing in a card room. Even the overall social aspect is something to talk about. joining a game with friends or  bringing together friends for your weekely home game is awesome. You can't get that online even with the Poker Stars home game the feel is still not the same. I like the Poker Stars home game fopr many reasons and i will write about that in my next blog but for now, i am glad that some of the sites are up and running and we sharks can get back in the water to eat the fish.

Even though we are back  on line, please do not forget to drop by your local poker room or casino card room. We need these places to continue and promote the game. Drop by play afw hands and remember to tip the waitresses.

For now i'm off to play the 2-4 NLHem wish me luck!...oh ya , it's not about luck in this game.

talkt o ya soon
